  • The best way to shuck an oyster is with an oyster opener as blade is rigid which will prise open shell easier.
  • Use a tea towel to hold the oyster firmly and then push the blade into the hinge of the oyster, (the hole at one end).
  • Then lever the opener upwards, or twist it to prise the hinge open.
  • Practice makes perfect.
