- Our live whelks from the Dorset coast are very popular in Asian cuisine.
- Simply rinse a few times before immersing in boiling water and cooking for around 10-15 minutes Serve with a drizzle of lemon.
- Blanche for a few moments before removing from the shell and sautéing in garlic and butter or adding to a soup or chowder.
- You can even grill them until tender and juicy or make a Korean style whelk fritter.
- Best cooked upon delivery but can be refrigerated for 2 days.
